Snapkins!
$45.00Reusable napkins and 'paper' towels? Yes please! I love sewing these animal themed fabrics backed with terry cloth and high quality KAMsnaps (for heartwarming information on how KAMsnaps helps disabled dogs, please see the News&Events section!)!
The PVC tube takes the place of cardboard and will fit on any standard paper towel holder.
Use them as place mats, napkins AND paper towels.
I make them in sets of 12, so you always have extras while the dirty ones are in the laundry.

$15.00These popular eye pillows are infused with real lavender and/or pine grown at my house! They will not lose their scent.
You can heat them or put them in the freezer.
They are tactilely (that's a word, right?) pleasing with a cotton or snuggle fabric print side and fleece backing.View more details...Let's talk about your order!Compressible Travel/Camping Pillows!
$30.00A good friend purchased a pillow like this 30 years ago and it traveled the world with her! She hasn't been able to find anything like it in years since. Now her daughters often steal it when traveling and they asked if I could figure out how to recreate it. It was fun to see the excitement when I gave them each their own pillows for their birthdays!
The current batch is made with the happy camping pattern shown. The paracord wraps around the pillow once compressed and the pillow can be packed or hang from a backpack.View more details...Masks
freeUsing the 6 piece 'Olson' hospital approved mask pattern, I re-purpose the scrap fabric from my Snaptowel sets. Pattern availability varies based on leftovers! The masks can be made in larger sizes for men's faces, slightly smaller women's fit, as well as child small (ages 2-5) and child large (ages 6-10). The snaps allow for additional flexibility.
If you need one, it's yours. This is my small way of spreading kindness. If you can donate a few dollars it will go towards the snaps and the disabled dogs the snaps support! See my News&Events section for the endearing KAMsnap story!View more details...Let's talk about your order!Benefits of Bodywork
Dogs of all ages and breeds will benefit from Bodywork. They are in tune with their bodies, their environment, their Guardians and families. When there is dis-ease in a dogs body a CCMT can facilitate the necessary physical and emotional healing in order to trigger the dogs innate awareness and inner wisdom so they may achieve their natural state of homeostasis.

About Me
A Native American Elder once described his own inner struggles in this manner:
"Inside of me there are two dogs. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights the good dog all the time."
When asked which dog wins, he reflected for a moment and replied, "The one I feed the most."
How I got here.
I grew up in N. Massapequa, NY which is on Long Island. I've always shared my life with pets. We had dogs, cats, gerbils, hamsters, a guinea pig who ate spaghetti, fish, a turtle (briefly) and 4 ferrets (scoundrels!). I've never had a bird and quite honestly African Gray parrots scare the tar out of me, long story....I don't want to talk about it. My soulmate-dog was a Keeshond named Dakota. I met him while attending dog grooming school and it was love at first sight. His name was Ruby at the time and he was just a pup. As fate would have it, his owners had to give him up and they remembered how I wanted him, and so began a never-long-enough love affair between a girl and her dog.
I knew I wanted to work with animals but I was too short-sighted in my ignorant youth to have the patience for more academia, so I attended the NY School of Dog Grooming and became a Certified Groomer. Right out of school I got a job at a busy and well established boarding kennel called Fonab (this was before doggie daycare was a thing) and it was trial by fire but I loved it. At the same time I was working nights and weekends establishing a business out of my home. I eventually and reluctantly left Fonab and around 1991 Jill's Mobile Dog Grooming was born. I had a blast for about a dozen years but then decided I wanted to explore other ways to make a living ie: regular paycheck, health insurance, 401k and less hair on my clothes. My career spun off on a diverse trajectory ranging from environmental warrior to Head Trader to VP of Operations & Customer Service. In the meantime I left NY in 2003 shortly after Dakota dog died (just shy of 14 years old) and moved to Phoenix AZ for a change of scenery and some healing. Before long I met the man I would marry and chased him to Colorado then in 2008 I gave birth to a daughter. I named her Dakota. The name means a lot to me. In Native American the name means loyalty and friendship. To me it means everything good and sacred in my life.
Reinvention(s).
After working for 12 years in Operations & Customer Service for an IT Training Company I was feeling lost and unfulfilled. I knew my soul longed to return to my roots and work with animals again. I wanted my daughter to see a happy Mommy. I took a leap of faith and resigned from my job knowing the magic of the Universe would show me the way and boy did it ever. One day I was online enduring the agony of job hunting and stumbled upon the 'services' section of Mile High Dog Magazine and saw Wild at Heart Dog Massage. I went to the website and suddenly heard a choir of Angels singing and a bright light was shining around my kitchen. Ok, it wasn't quite that dramatic, but it was AMAZING! I read about the owner, Dina (her two legged massage biz: www.dinatibbs.com), and she had a link to Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage (RMSAAM). I immediately clicked and more Angels sang. I called Dina to make sure the school wasn't hinkey and she turned out to be a LOVELY and supportive woman and assured me the school was the best in the USA and perhaps the world. I'm here to tell you I couldn't agree with her more. With the support of my husband and daughter, I immediately enrolled and my next journey and personal reinvention began. I met amazing women and teachers (Jenny Rukavina I miss you) and don't even get me started on my four legged teachers, I'll gush on for paragraphs. The education I received at RMSAAM was priceless and now I want nothing more than to be an integral part of your pets happiness, good health and long life.
You can wake up now, I'm done babbling. I hope you'll still call me!
*update 2019: Although I had about a dozen regular to semi-regular clients, it was not enough to sustain the business and I had to return to the traditional full time work force in early 2017. Unfortunately there are not enough hours in the day to do both while being a Mom. I hope and pray that there will come a time when I can return to massage. In the meantime I have dusted off my sewing machine and am engaging my creative side and have become a fabric junkie!

FAQ's
*MASSAGE APPOINTMENTS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE*
Jill, do you work out of a groovy converted shed that you call The Shack?
Funny you should ask, yes I do! Your dog will have a quiet, peaceful and distraction free session in a comfortable safe environment. I play soothing music and diffuse DoTerra Essential Oils chosen by the dog.
What can I do while my dog is enjoying his/her Bodywork?
You may wait in The Shack during the session if you can 1) silence and stay off of your phone 2) NOT talk to me and 3) be relatively still. I will provide a chair, table, adult coloring book and colored pencils.
Please understand that over 80% of our communication with animals is non-verbal. I need to be in tune with my client (your dog) and in a calm, grounded and somewhat meditative state.
If you prefer, you can head to 1 of 3 local Starbucks, grocery shop at King Soopers or Sprouts, have a bite to eat at Fire & Vine, Noodles, Chipolte, a Thai place whose name currently escapes me, or Applejacks, to name a few alternatives to sitting in silence. That said, a little silence and aromatherapy may do YOU some good as well. I'm just saying.
Will you come to my house if my dog cannot get in the car due to age or injury?
I don't wish to turn away a dog in need of Bodywork. I am willing to discuss this on a case by case basis.
There are many fantastic practitioners who go to homes exclusively and I think that's great. Based on my 12+ years of Mobile Dog Grooming I found that dogs behave less defensively outside of their home environment and often relax more easily. If you prefer a practitioner who is entirely mobile I will gladly try to connect you with some of the talented CCMT's who I have been blessed to meet and/or heard of by reputation within our massage community. Let's at least discuss options first!
Disclaimer (Veterinarians rock!)
Certified Canine Massage Therapy (CCMT) is most effective when practiced as a complimentary modality to quality veterinary care. I think of myself as part of a team working to keep your dog in a state of balance so that he or she can then use their innate awareness and inner wisdom to achieve homeostasis.
Bodywork integrates over time once the dog has had time to process and absorb the session.
Please understand it is outside of my scope of practice to diagnose a medical issue, prescribe medications or offer medical advise.
